Spring is all about fresh flavors, lighter meals and easy dishes that still feel satisfying. Grain foods are a natural fit for the season, bringing texture, versatility and staying power to vibrant, produce-forward recipes.

From bright salads to simple pasta meals, grains pair effortlessly with spring produce and fresh herbs to create dishes that are both nourishing and crave-worthy.

This collection highlights 10 spring-inspired grain recipes that are easy to prepare, easy to share and built for the flavors of the season.

1. Tomato Panzanella Salad

Perfect when you want something more substantial than a green salad, but don’t want to be weighed down by a heavy meal. This panzanella salad combines crunchy, satisfying bread with plenty of fresh veggies and a bright homemade vinaigrette. We’d serve it with rotisserie chicken on the side.

2. Tuscan White Bean & Tuna Sandwich

Classic tuna gets a fiber upgrade thanks to the addition of white beans. Made with an easy oil and vinegar dressing, red onions and baby spinach, this tuna salad will be your new go to!

3. Cobb Salad Sandwiches

First created in California, Cobb salad traditionally includes an array of tasty ingredients like avocado, egg, chicken, tomato and bacon. In our version, all these toppings are found in between two delicious slices of bread!

4. Edamame Barley Bowl

Fresh flavors for spring! This bowl is truly healthy and satisfying, with plant protein as well as hearty barley, spicy arugula, creamy avocado and a sesame-lemon dressing.

5. Spiced Rice Pilaf

Travel east for the evening with aromatic basmati rice, saffron, cardamom, cumin and cloves in a pilaf that pairs perfectly with grilled beef and chicken skewers.

6. Chicken Enchiladas with Roasted Jalapenos

When it comes to tortillas, are you Team Flour or Team Corn? We like both, but in this recipe, the corn tortillas bake, soften and integrate so nicely with the chicken, enchilada sauce, cheese and other ingredients.  And even better, this is an easy weeknight dinner that can be assembled the night before!

7. Rotini with Sausage & Mushrooms

Another satisfying weeknight go-to, this one-pot wonder features mushrooms, leeks and a generous helping of chicken sausage in every bite.

8. Goat Cheese, Black Pepper & Honey Popovers

These puffy, cheesy delights made with whole wheat flour seem like a lot of work, and only you will know they’re not! Take dinner up a notch and serve these in a basket with some butter. We’d accompany them with roasted salmon or pork and a simple salad.

9. Strawberry Short Cake

This classic strawberry shortcake features sweet berries, fluffy cake and a whipped topping. It is a simple, crowd-pleasing dessert.

10. English Muffin French Toast

Traditional French Toast but with a English twist! Turn English muffins into a delectable breakfast with this recipe. Top with your favorite fruit, powdered sugar and whipped cream.
