Strawberry Short Cake
This classic strawberry shortcake features sweet berries, fluffy cake and a whipped topping. It is a simple, crowd-pleasing dessert.

Ingredients
Biscuit
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons frozen unsalted butter grated
- ¾ cup skim milk
Filling
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cups whipped cream topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- In a medium bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add grated butter and mix well. Add milk and continue to mix until a ball forms.
- Knead with your hands for a few minutes, then make into 10 balls. Place balls on baking sheet and press down to flatten into thick patties.
- Bake 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let cool.
- Meanwhile, mix strawberries and sugar in a medium bowl.
- Split biscuits and layer with strawberries and whipped topping.
