Whole Wheat Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

This whole wheat pasta casserole with tomato cream sauce is rich, comforting and perfect for an easy family dinner.

Whole Wheat Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.5 oz.) box whole wheat penne pasta
  • 8 ounces reduced-fat cream cheese
  • 2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 (28 oz.) can seasoned diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded lowfat mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Add cream cheese and stir until melted.
  • Fold in marinara sauce and canned tomatoes. Pour into a 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
