Asian Ginger Turkey Burgers

We're rethinking your favorite juicy turkey burger with an asian-inspired revamp that's topped with a homemade Mango Cilantro Mayonnaise.

Asian Ginger Turkey Burgers

Ingredients

Mango Cilantro Mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup light mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 medium mango peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped

Turkey Burger Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 2 tablespoons plain breadcrumbs or old-fashioned oats
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pinch red pepper
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Fresh cilantro
  • 4 kaiser rolls or hamburger buns

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, lime juice and honey. Stir in mango and cilantro. Season with black pepper, to taste. Cover and store in refrigerator until ready to use.
  • Preheat oven broiler.
  • In a large bowl, mix turkey, green onions, breadcrumbs or oats, peanut butter, ginger, soy sauce, garlic, black pepper and red pepper. Form into 4-6 patties and place on baking sheet.
  • Broil 4 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  • Spread mango mayonnaise on rolls. Top with patties, lettuce and fresh cilantro.
