Classic Tuna Sandwiches

It’s time to raise the bar on the good ol’ tuna sandwich. This classic tuna sandwich is creamy, flavorful and easy to make for a quick, protein-packed lunch option.

Classic Tuna Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces albacore tuna, packed in water drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 6 Romaine lettuce leaves torn in half
  • 12 slices whole wheat bread

Instructions

  • Mix tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, carrots, red bell peppers, and celery in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Top half of the slices of bread with lettuce. Spoon tuna on top and add second slice of bread to make 6 sandwiches.
