Banana Bread

From the comforting aroma of baking bread to the mellow flavor of ripe bananas and vanilla bean, you’ll love this bread right out of the oven … and for days afterward!

Sliced Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs or ½ cup egg substitute
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Spray a loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
  • Place bananas in a large bowl and mash. Mix in sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  • In a seperate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  • Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until well incorporated. Pour into prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake 60-70 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool before slicing.
