Who better to ask for Mother’s Day brunch inspiration than mother of two, chef, cookbook author and TV personality Sara Moulton?
Sara’s brunch recipes are a great way to begin the Mother’s Day celebration, and they’re easy enough that dads and kids won’t have to worry about any kitchen disasters (that moms will most likely be cleaning up later)!
After Mom has finished her delicious breakfast in bed, here are some other ways to help her enjoy Mother’s Day:
- Send Mom out to lunch with her girlfriends. Let someone else do the cooking – and the cleanup! Mom will enjoy some well-deserved time with her friends at her favorite restaurant.
- Make a homemade card. Nothing is more heartwarming, genuine and appreciated than a handmade card from the heart. Gather up the kids and the crayons, glitter and construction paper, and create something special.
- Pamper her with a surprise spa trip. While Mom is relaxing at the spa, clean the house and do the laundry (and any other chores that may normally fall to Mom). She’ll love coming home to a clean house.
- Date night. After a family brunch, its Dad’s turn for some quality time. Think about dinner and a movie, or tickets to the theatre. No kids allowed!
