This study found that eating 6-7 servings of refined grains increase Americans vitamins and minerals including folic acid, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin and iron. It was also shown the eating 6-7 servings of refined grains are not associated with the risk of disease including type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, hypertension, stroke, and cancer.
